Cape Coral Restaurants – American
If you are looking for Cape Coral Restaurants offering traditional American fare, here are a couple in the area we enjoy and another we think isn’t worth the drive.
Blue Pepper Gourmet & Café (239) 939-4700, 7091 College Pkwy, Fort Myers. Lunch at the Blue Pepper is always a culinary adventure. I like to try something different every time I go because their flavor combinations are so unique and delicious. So far I have liked all their wraps, the tomato bisque and the mixed greens salad. The service can be poor, but the food is worth it. Plan to arrive before the lunch or dinner rush and you should do fine. They also offer wine tastings, cooking classes and catering. Dinner entrees are from $15 - $29.
Mucky Duck 239 472 3434, 11546 Andy Rosse Lane, Captiva. Lots of people rave about this place and how great it is at sunset. Hmmmm . . . Dave and I found it to be a pretty average restaurant with a pub atmosphere. The picnic tables on the patio weren’t directly on the beach, so you couldn’t really be in the restaurant or even on the deck and see the wonderful sunset. That being said, sunset was beautiful and we went back in and had a nice meal. We only went the one time as it wasn’t worth the long drive. A burger is $9.50 and their dinner entrees range from $18 - $38.
University Grill (239) 437-4377, 7790 Cypress Lake Dr, Fort Myers. We like this restaurant for lunch or mid-day drinks. They offer a varied menu and have a nice patio overlooking a lake. There is a resident white heron that fishes from the deck and is rather amusing. Burgers are $9 and dinner entrees range from $10 - $30.
