The Breeze and the News Press are both "small town" papers, serving modest populations. Both have the standard fare of local news and events with a smattering of national and international issues.
Given a choice between the two, we read the News Press - actually had a subscription to it for the first couple of years we lived in Cape Coral. That being said, if you want good coverage of national or international news, we suggest you select your favorite national paper and supplement with the local rags (which is what we ended up doing).
Note: If you are staying at a private home in Cape Coral - rental or otherwise, the Breeze will appear in your driveway every weekend for free.
