Looking for a close and convenient on the water Cape Coral restaurant that you can boat to? While there are lots of options, one of the nicest we’ve found for lunch is Rumrunners.
Even though it the attire is shorts and t-shirts - like the rest of Cape Coral, it is the most upscale on the water dining we’ve experienced in the city. It is part of the Cape Harbor complex of shops and restaurants. It boasts a refreshing lunch menu and a wonderful patio overlooking the water. It’s delightful, modern décor makes its’ waiting areas a comfortable respite should there be a wait (March is the only time we have encountered this at lunch). There are also interesting shops along a courtyard type promenade a short walk away.
I like their Caesar salad with steak on top and my husband has tried, and liked, their fish entrees and burgers. (I am boring and order the same thing every time!) We only ate there for dinner one time, but found the prices to be high for the portions served. As we prefer to boat there during the day anyhow, it has not been a great hardship to limit our visits to the lunch hour.
Boating directions to Rumrunners are as follows:
At ICW marker #92 follow the channel markers guiding you toward the three tall condo buildings and Tarpon Point Marina. As you approach and almost pass Tarpon Point Marina, look to your left and you will see a series of green channel markers. Navigate between the green channel markers and the mangroves, keeping the channel markers to your left. This will take you around to Rumrunners. We have always found plenty of places to dock on the right, just before you arrive at the fuel docks. It is a walk of about a half a block to the restaurant. could result in serious loss to your boat and/or person.
